Darby Roth
Staff Therapist

Darby Roth, LSW, is a Staff Therapist at Ascend. She holds a Master of Social Work with an Advanced Clinical concentration from Lewis University and earned her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Darby’s experience spans both individual and group therapy, honed through her graduate internship at a community mental health organization. During her undergraduate internship, she worked with adjudicated youth facing diverse mental health challenges, equipping them with essential resources and life skills to aid their reintegration into the community.

Darby is passionate about guiding young people through the complexities they encounter, fostering an environment of growth and healing. She is committed to challenging and supporting her clients throughout the therapeutic process, with a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship. Drawing from modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Therapy, Darby tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, empowering them to harness their strengths and live meaningful lives.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Darby is an avid runner who competed at the collegiate level and enjoys working with athletes. She also finds balance in practicing yoga, spending time with her dog, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops.
